*IMPORTANT UPDATE*
Due to a number of national companies unlawfully telling customers in the local area that they are working for us we have introduced ID Cards for our Engineers to carry with them at all times.
They will present these to you upon arrival at your property.
If you feel unsure as to whether you have a Handley Aerials Engineer at your door, there is a QR code on the back of our new ID Cards. All you need to do is scan this using a smartphone camera and it will call our offices directly, where you will be able to speak to one of us to confirm who you have at your door.
Additionally, our Engineers will ALWAYS turn up to your house in a Handley Aerials van. They are white and red, and our logo is all over it!
If the Engineer cannot produce an ID Card for you, please call us immediately! You may be about to get scammed!

TV AERIALS
All the TV aerials and type 100 coaxial cable that we use are benchmark tested by the CAI . We use the Antiference range of Digital TV aerials and amplification equipment.
All of our engineers carry Digital test meters and will check the signal strength to advise you what equipment will be required to give you the best reception.

FM DAB AERIALS
We use high quality Antiference radio aerials for both analogue and digital radio reception.
You will get good radio sound with a correctly installed radio aerial, far better than short pieces of wire from the back of your HiFi system.
Our engineers will make sure that the aerial is setup for your location, particularly important for the directional DAB aerial.
With all installations, our engineers will check the signal level and advise you on the type of aerial required to give you good reception.
SATELLITE
At Handley Aerials we supply and install Satellite equipment from Sky subscription services to European Free-to-air systems.
If you would like to receive mostly German channels, Astra 1 at 19 degrees east is the main satellite of choice with some French and Spanish channels too.
Eutelsat hotbird at 13 degrees east is the Satellite that has lots of Free-to-air TV from a large selection of countries i.e Italian stations including the RAI channels, Polish, French, Thai, Chinese, Arabic, Russian, etc. even a couple of English channels including the BBC world service TV.
FREESAT
At Handley Aerials, we are an authorised Freesat installer. You will need a satellite dish and a Freesat box.

Freesat was set up to ensure that everyone can access the best of free digital TV, no matter where they live in the UK.
Freesat is a not-for-profit company owned by the nation’s two most popular broadcasters, the BBC and ITV.
WALL MOUNT
Large flat-screen TVs are now very popular and easily affordable. No longer is a TV a heavy, boxy floor standing item in your home, it can be mounted on a wall.
A wall mounted TV is far more flexible, especially where floor space is limited and where the TV needs to be higher such as in the bedroom or kitchen.
We will unpack your new TV, supply a suitable mounting bracket, mount it on the wall then setup the TV and its digital tuner. You may need a new aerial to receive the digital signal, splitters or amplifiers and new cabling for additional TVs.

In 1970, Michael Handley founded the business after working in the television industry. In 2014, Mr Handley retired and two of his employees, who have collectively over forty years experience, continued on trading as Handley Aerials. Vicky Ford and Paul Boothman (Barney) now share the role as Director and chose to relocate to Colne, where the business continues to flourish.
As of late, the company has 7 employees, including the branch in Leeds, and 6 vans.
All of our engineers are from the local area and have the NVQ Level 2 Electrical and Electronic servicing (Signal Reception). They all frequently receive excellent feedback from our customers and are a huge asset to Handley Aerials.
