Michael Handley, the founder of the business started work in the television industry in 1960 working for a small local business repairing TVs and fitting TV aerials. In 1970 he was working for Granada Television and decided to leave and start his own business towards the end of that year.

Handley Aerials quickly expanded due to the availability of coloured TV on all channels and by 1972 the company had 4 vehicles fitting TV aerials. in the early 80's there was further expansion due to the arrival of Satellite TV and this expansion has continued to the present day.

The company now has a branch in Leeds and Burnley, 8 vans and 10 employees.

The firm is still run as a family business and Michael Handley continues to work at the head office in Burnley.

All of our engineers are from the local area and have the NVQ Level 2 Electrical and Electronic servicing (Signal Reception). They are all approved by the Registered Digital Installers (RDI), which enables the company to display the digital tick.

The company is a member of the Confederation of Aerial Industries (CAI Plus) which promotes a high standard of workmanship and enforces strict regulation on the quality of equipment used. Our CAI registration number is C1163.
